Sound Gauge Pro is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Sound Gauge Pro collects no data whatsoever. Specifically:
Sound Gauge Pro requires microphone access to measure ambient sound levels. Audio data is processed entirely on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored as audio, or transmitted. Only computed decibel values are saved when you explicitly start a recording session.
Recording sessions (timestamps and dB readings) are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Calibration preferences are stored in UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a CSV file using the share sheet.
Sound Gauge Pro uses no third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks that collect data. The app is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks.
Sound Gauge Pro does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
